How to join DARTS


If you would like to use the DARTS service please ring the office on 9777 7840.

The Project Manager will make an appointment to visit you at your home to assess your needs, to check the bus access and pick up arrangements and to provide information about how the service operates.

Each Month a new program of trips is planned and you may book to go on up to 5 trips per month.

The length of each trip varies but we usually plan to stay at the destination venue for 3 hours. Travelling time may be up to two hours each way and so the whole trip could take between 4 hours and 8 hours in total.

Membership is $11 per year.

Members pay $11.00 contribution per return trip for trips within Sydney and $16 for longer trips out of the Sydney metro area eg to the Blue Mountains. (Venue costs - eg. meals and entries are extra).

DARTS also provides volunteer companion/helpers to assist with pushing of wheelchairs, meals, shopping etc. Or you may bring your own carer or helper to assist you. (Your carer or helper does not pay any fare contribution.)

The DARTS’ driver is responsible for collecting you, making sure that you are securely strapped into the bus and taking you home again. The driver also supervises at the venues and assists with personal care if required.
